NEW LAYOUT!!!

Okay I'm totally in love with this layout. I worked on it about 4 hours this morning. I did alot of work on the embellishments.

Here is a close up of the homemade flower. I used Donna Salzar's flower technique. She rocks!

The base of the flower is a scallop circle cut from a brown paper bag, then there is a layer of pink tissue paper cut out in a scallop circle shape, both were sprayed with my homemade version of glimmer mist, then there is a doily that I sprayed with Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist and last but not least is a brown button. Yes Karmie it is from an old sweater. =) Layered behind that is a feather that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist and then just some christmas blingy wreath decorations that I got at Hobby Lobby.
Here is a close up of another embellie.

For this I used a tag my sweet friend Karmie Marmie sent me. I covered it with UTEE and Stardust embossing powder to give it that gorgeous sparkle. Then I just stuck a flower on it while the UTEE was still hot. UTEE is fastly becoming one of my favs. UTEE- Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel
Here is the other embellie.

The beautiful flower is also a gifty from Karmie. {Thank you so much} The heart was just plain chipboard. I painted it brown then used UTEE on it to make it shiny and I stuck some pearls on it while it was still hot.

The papers are all My Mind's Eye. I scraplifted the layout design from Aphra at My Scrappy Life.

SOME NEW STUFF

Is it really Dec. 1st already? Where has this year gone... My baby is about to turn 6 and that doesn't seem possible at all. Alot has happened to and for my little family this year. I think I will have to do a remembering 2009 layout and get it all down in the journaling. Jacey started school, Jody had major surgery on his neck, Jody was run over by his supervisor{complete accident}, I took a promotion at work and was offered an evening bigger one but turned it down, Jacey had surgery to have her tonsils removed, Jacey lost her 1st and 2nd teeth, I had a huge scare when Jacey got the swine flu. I'll have to review my journal to get everything down.
Here is some of the latest ATC, cards and layouts that I've done.

SCRAPSKETCH LAYOUT

Here's a layout I made using the sketch from the Friday Scrapsketch challenge. I like the way it turned out. Simple compared to what I usually try to do. I'm beginning to believe simpler is better. I don't know...I love embellishments too much. =)

NEWS!!!NEWS!!!NEWS!!!

I'm now the Technique Administrator in CafeMom's ScrapNMoms group. I'm tickled pink. I've been on different CafeMom groups for a couple of years now but I've never been an administrator. So I'm going to post techniques and how to's to help people out. So now I have to start looking up how to do different and new things.
I feel like my heart belongs in CropNChat because I feel close to those girls. I just have to make sure that my involvement in ScrapNMoms doesn't take time away from CropNChat.

I've ignored my blog long enough. It's time to start back with personal journals not just scrapbook layouts and etc.
Jacey is losing her first tooth. It's completely out of the gum and is just hanging by some skin but she won't pull it. She won't let us pull it either. =(
She's scared and is hoping it will just pop out. I figure she will eat it. Everyone keeps telling me just to trick her and grab it but I don't want to do that because I don't want her to have trust issues with me. I know I'm crazy. =)
Atleast today the sun is shining. It poured the rain yesterday. I cleaned and organized my scrapbook room yesterday. It's been kind of blah here because we're all getting sick. Jody is having issues with recovering from his neck surgery. His throat has started bothering him. Then he's getting sick on top of that. Hopefully in a few days we will all feel better.

DESIGN STUDIO

Well I've finally got my cricut hooked up to the computer so I can start using my Design Studio. Now I have to learn all about it. =( Time to search the web for step by step instruction. If anyone knows of any good sites to help the slow learner I would greatly appreciate it.
