Hi everyone! I've not fallen off the face of the earth. I've been really busy with work and trying to get everything ready for my daughter to go to Pre-K. I really want to keep her home until she goes to Kindergarten but she wants to go to school. My hubby is pushing for her to go too because we don't have any small children around that she plays with regularly. She is so smart, she is ready for school.
Yesterday was a rough day for her. She had her physical, hearing and eye exam. She had 5 immunizations and she had blood work done. I will never forget the look on that baby's face when she saw all those needles. She broke my heart. But she did really good. She only teared up alittle. The nurse completely made up for inflicting pain because when Jacey left she had more toys, stickers and suckers than she could carry.
You hate to put your child through that pain but you know that you are doing it for their own good but still it doesn't help the guilt you feel when they are hurting.

Take care,
Christy

Back from vacation....
We went to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
Jacey fell in love with the go-karts at The Track in Pigeon Forge, TN. Every evening we were at the go-kart places. I'm of course too chicken to drive one of them so her daddy was with her on them.
She finally got brave enough at the Nascar Speedpark to drive one herself. She had so much fun once she conquered her fears.
The second day of vacation we went to the Knoxville Zoo in Knoxville, TN. We had a great time. This is a picture I took of Jacey waiting outside for the zoo to open. Jacey was so excited.
Here is a great picture of a rhino that I took.
They had a petting zoo for the kiddies. Jacey went in to pet and brush the goats, sheep and llama. They were all friendly. She was tickled to brush the animals.
A good shot of a prairie dog.
Beautiful flowers and a butterfly in the Butterfly Gardens at the zoo.
I loved the elephants. They are amazing animals. This one tried to spray everyone that was watching it.
This was the highlight of the zoo for me. The baby chimp is only 3 weeks old. When we got to the chimp house you couldn't see the baby but mama turned around and there was the baby clinging to her. She looked up and saw all of the people watching and she picked the baby off of her and sat it down in front of her for everyone to see him. Mama had to hold him up because he's still too small to sit up on his own or he was too sleepy because when she let him go he just flopped down and went to sleep. It was just sooooo cute!
We did alot more so maybe tomorrow I'll post some more pics of the rest of our vacation.
Take care,
Christy

Kazan's Sketch 6
This is my attempt at Kazan's Sketch 6 over at 2S4Y. I strayed some from the sketch by rearranging some things. This is the first card that I've stitched on. My sewing machine was acting up so I decided to stitch it by hand. I didn't think I was ever going to get done with that. I used a strip of plastic film that I punched with the treading water punch then glittered (ofcource). I also used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch with the plastic film and glittered them too. I used flocked letters for the word love. I liked the way it turned out.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Finally! It's vacation time!
Yeah! Vacation is finally here. It has taken forever. Hubby isn't off until Monday but my vacation starts today. Planning on taking Jacey to Knoxville, TN to the zoo and then to the Great Smokey Mtns. of TN. We've been to both places before but it's good just to get away and relax for a very days. :0)
I've been lazy this week and still haven't done the 2 sketches 4 you challenge yet. I've got to get kicked into high gear.
I thought I would share some cute pics of Jacey eating watermelon. These will make it to some cute summertime layouts for the scrapbook soon.
Everyone take care and have a great week.

I've Been Tagged!
I've been tagged by a great lady, Kath.
It's a random tag, and here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who “tagged” you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six (I'm only tagging 3 people) people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know your entry is posted on your blog.
Okay let's see what I can think of.
1. I'm only 34 and my hair is nearly all gray. Thank Goodness for hair color in a box. :0)
2. I went out this evening to water the plants while my hubby and daughter where in the pool. Unknowing to me they had plans to attack me with water from the pool. I was completely soaked.
3. I work at Wal*Mart.
4. We came up with our daughter's name Jacey by taking the first initials of our names Jody & Christy. J+C=Jacey
5. I'm hooked on reality tv.
6. I love Jamie Oliver! He could cook for me anytime he wanted to. :0)
Now I have to pass this on to 3 people who haven't already had it so I'm going to pick Krista, Radiogirl & Ingrid
